We are excited to announce two new additions to our growing Mintbase team: João Loureiro and Marcelo Kunze.

João Loureiro has joined the team as a full-stack developer and brings five years of experience in building web & mobile apps. He has expertise in React, Typescript and GraphQL, loves automation, design patterns and functional programming. João is focused on front-end development and aims to improve Mintbase’s UI/UX as well as the scalability of the platform.

João joined the team in May with his first task being centred around the Minter, where many UI improvements were made for a much-improved experience for new users. He has also worked on account system migration, removing social logins (like Twitter and email), and data migration allowing users to effortlessly login directly with their NEAR wallet. Additionally, he has developed a notification feature that enables users to receive emails when they buy, sell or bid on an NFT.

Mintbase’s most recent talent addition is Marcelo Kunze, a product designer of German descent from São Paulo, Brazil. Marcelo studied advertising at ESPM and after graduating and working for a well-known ad agency, focused his talents primarily on design, UI/UX and brand identity.

He has worked on his own personal project called LETRA — an app for comparing typefaces and has designed and built an interactive prototype. Subsequently, Marcelo had a prominent role as a lead designer for a major company where he created everything from the visual identity, UI/UX for the app, website and the entire design system.

After relocating to Lisbon, Marcelo is starting a new and exciting journey with Mintbase, where he will be helping to build the most powerful NFT protocol in the industry, with his first task being creating a slick brand identity for Mintbase.

Marcelo believes that aesthetics is nothing without function, a lesson he learned from working alongside developers. He also believes that data and testing are fundamental for agile development.
