Contract Updates

September was a busy month for us at Mintbase; we had a lot of new updates implemented, one of the most significant ones was the Mintbase contracts upgrade. The update will make developing much easier and more compliant with NEAR Protocols NFT standard NEP171. In addition, the web wallet will now start tracking Mintbase batch transfers as well.

For us at Mintbase, we see NEAR Protocol’s accounting system as the real star of the blockchain. Read Nate Geier’s blog post to better understand the access key system and dive into Mintbase’s roadmap.

Weekly AMAs

Our team members, Monika Blockdiver and Maria Neu, started hosting weekly Instagram Live sessions and Twitter Spaces talks. These live streams are hosted every week on Wednesdays at 4 PM UTC going forward.

The devs, Luis Freitas and Joao Loureiro, also hosted AMAs on Discord and helped other developers building on Mintbase using Mintbase.js with personalised assistance.

MetaBuild Winner

The winners of the MetaBuidl hackathon were announced, and Santhiago, a front-end developer, claimed Mintbase’s grand prize. He won the $5,000 Mintbase challenge for building a stand-alone minter that submits proposals to the SputnickDAO plus 3XR virtual galleries using Mintbases dev tools.

To check the submission, watch the video below.

Mintbase Academy

We also updated our educational videos in the Mintbase Academy on YouTube and demonstrated how to add and remove minters easily to a Mintbase.io store.

We also added another video on how to accept an auction offer on Mintbase in a few simple steps. Watch the sample video here:

Openbase

Lastly, we deployed an open store (a smart contract) called “Openbase”, where users can add their NFTs without needing to open their own store for 7 $NEAR. We had an incredible amount of interest with over 600 applicants in 2hours.

A rebrand sneak peek of the new logo was also released, but more on this in next month’s update!
